Defiance #205 Block Plane by Stanley

6 1/4″ long with a 1 1/2″ cutter
Pressed/folded steel construction. Originally part of the Stanley tool chest for boys, later integrated into the “economy” Defiance line as No 1245. I don’t think many woodworkers would be game enough to call this a tool. It looks and feels like one of those horrible cheap Chinese imports you find at flea markets. Body is not marked, cutters are usually marked Defiance. I don’t know if the earlier examples from the boy’s tool chests had any markings on the blade.
