This saw has been cleaned and repaired
When Disston acquired Harvey Peace in 1893 this model was so popular that Disston continued to make it.
However they changed two things which is how you can tell them apart at a glance.
The half dozen Peace models have a handle below the top of the blade.
They also have bronze/copper/whatever bands holding the blade to the handle.
On the bottom:
Disston brought the handle up parallel to the top of the blade and changed the bands to steel
There was an overlap and examples can be found like that, Just to throw a curveball to future collectors
And to add to the confusion, Atkins also made a version, the Atkins #44
