Next task was to tune the drill press. I wanted to drill the holes straight throught the base, so the drill press needed to be perfect. I’ll be using 1/4″ brass rods for the pins on this infill
One of the harder parts to the build is sizing the metal to width. Using a 2″ iron, the inside measurment should be about 2 1/8″, so you’ll need to buy 2 1/2″ and size it down
Here is another task where a mill would be nice to have. I have this old portable tablesaw I stuck a cut off wheel in. Not ideal for the task, bit it got it done.
